- Former Gov. Jay Inslee is among the 450 people who attended our Bike Everywhere Lunch, where the theme was "If You Teach a Kid to Bike..."

Riding STP and RSVP to Boost Inclusivity in Bicycling
- Cascade is partnering with mission-aligned bike clubs and nonprofits to boost diversity and inclusion on our two biggest rides–STP and RSVP.
- Partners include Ampersand Bikes Club, Asha for Education, Foundation for Philippine Progress, Iron Riders, Outspoken, Warpaint, and Gruppetto Cycling.
Pedal and Party Across WA During Bike Everywhere Month
- May is Bike Everywhere Month presented by Amazon, Microsoft & Lime–and Cascade has a full calendar of events to keep you spinning all month long.
- Join a spring ride, bike to work, fuel up on free pastries and coffee, score prizes, and bike for freedom.
STP 2024: the Beautiful Joy of Bicycling Together
- Nearly 5,000 people participated in the 2024 Kaiser Permanente Seattle to Portland presented by Alaska Airlines on July 13 and 14.

All Aboard the Bike Bus on Bike to School Day
- Bike buses are caravans of parents, teachers, and kids who ride rather than drive to school.
- Cascade is partnering with Seattle Public Schools to encourage more PTAs and educators to create bike buses this spring.
- May 7 is Bike to School Day–the perfect time to hop on a bike bus.
Two New Cascade Summer Rides: Iron Horse Gravel and Revel Revolution
- Revel Revolution is for women and nonbinary riders who want to explore Lake Sammamish in the company of friends both new and old.
- Iron Horse Gravel is a fully supported, two-day, Palouse to Cascades trail ride from Snoqualmie to Cle Elum and back for off-road newcomers and gravel veterans alike.
- Registration is open for both rides.
Cascade Visits DC to Speak Up for Bike Funding, Accept National Award
- The League of American Bicyclists has named Executive Director Lee Lambert Bike Advocate of the Year.
- Lambert accepted the award at the National Bike Summit in Washington, DC, where Cascade staff visited Capitol Hill to speak up for federal bike funding.
- The trip coincided with a federal directive to halt federal grants for bike lanes.
Visett’s Dream to Bike: A Major Taylor Project Spotlight
- Thanks to the Major Taylor Project and his own determination, a Tacoma high school graduate named Visett has achieved his dream of learning to ride a bike.
- Help more youth like Visett fulfill their dreams of transportation independence by registering for the Ride for Major Taylor on April 13.
City of Seattle Awards Cascade $92,000 to Reduce Food Waste through Pedaling Relief Project
- Pedaling Relief Project wins $50,000 grant from Department of Neighborhoods, $42,000 from Seattle Public Utilities.
- City’s financial support empowers Cascade Bicycle Club to rescue and deliver food while reducing carbon emissions and fighting food insecurity.
Washington’s Best Beginner and Intermediate Bike Trails
100,000 Miles and 35 STPs: at 79, Art Burrill is Still Chasing Big Cycling Goals
- Art Burrill’s hand-written logbook is a 34-year history of his bike life, documenting his mileage, STP facts, bicycles, riding partners, triumphs, injuries, and losses.
- Now 79, Art plans to ride 3,000 miles and finish his 33rd STP in 2025.
- His goal: 100,000 miles and 35 STPs by age 81.
