May marks the return of Bike Everywhere Month presented by Amazon, Microsoft & Lime, and we have exciting news for 2026: the Bike Everywhere Challenge is back for the first time since 2022.

Hosted by our sister organization Washington Bikes, the Bike Everywhere Challenge allows individuals and teams to compete for prizes by biking the most miles during the month of May.

Stay tuned for registration details coming in April. Meantime, talk to your coworkers, family members and friends about creating a Bike Everywhere Challenge team and joining the fun of biking to as many destinations as possible in May.

Whether you're an experienced bike commuter or new to cycling, the Challenge is just one of the opportunities to pedal and celebrate cycling during Bike Everywhere Month presented by Amazon, Microsoft & Lime.

May 13 is Bike Everywhere Day

To reward bike commuters, Cascade and other nonprofits and businesses will host Celebration Stations with free food, coffee, and prizes in Seattle and statewide on May 13.

Cascade will again host a Celebration Station in Seattle’s Fremont neighborhood, near the Fremont Bridge, with music, coffee, pastries, and fun giveaways. Mark your calendars and plan to visit one or multiple Celebration Stations.

Create Your Own Celebration Station

Do you plan to host a Celebration Station? Register it here so that we can include it on our map of Celebration Stations across the Puget Sound region and across Washington state.

Creating a Celebration Station is a fun way to promote bicycling in your community and with co-workers, family members and neighbors. The deadline to register your Bike Everywhere Day Celebration Station is May 6.

New Bike Everywhere Month Logo

Cascade worked with Seattle graphic designer Robin Hunt, who works to create positive impact, to design the new Bike Everywhere Month logo. It’s a whimsical take on the places you can ride and the critters you can see by bike.

“We wanted to create a playful and welcoming scene that captured the core things people love about cycling in Washington,” Robin says. “Whether you're biking through towering skyscrapers or in the shadow of Mount Rainier, there are so many things to see while seated on a bike.”

Robin's other projects include designing a video game, "Herbal Turtle," to inspire girls and nonbinary youth to maintain their interest in STEM education, and creating cover illustrations for the Real Change Homeless Empowerment Project. You’ll see this illustration on T-shirts, stickers, water bottles and other snazzy swag that you can win during Bike Everywhere Month.

Make Every Month Bike Everywhere Month

The party doesn’t stop at the end of May. Cascade has events every day of the year, from our Free Group Rides to adult education classes to the Emerald City Ride on April 25. There’s never been a better time to enjoy the most efficient, affordable, and fun transportation machines ever invented: the humble bicycle.
