SAVE THE DATE! The Washington Bike Walk Roll Summit takes place April 1-3, 2026.
This year's Summit theme is "Design the Future You Want."
Safe, accessible streets don’t happen by chance – they’re the result of intentional, informed planning. Fortunately, the past year has brought major progress in street design standards, with updates to both the NACTO and AASHTO guides. Communities across Washington are already putting these best practices into action, leading the way toward safer, more inclusive infrastructure.
Join us at the Bike, Walk, Roll Summit April 1-3 in 2026 to gain new insights from keynote speakers, dive into learning through hands-on mobile workshops, and embrace interactive panels as well as meaningful peer connections.
Together, we can create a future where people of all ages and abilities can bike, walk, and roll with ease. Save the date and get inspired for safe streets in your community.
Requests for Proposals
Got an idea or project to share at the Summit? We’ll release a Request for Proposals in early September for you to apply to present at the Summit.
What is the Summit and Who Attends?
The Bike, Walk, Roll Summit is a three-day event that brings together people from all around Washington (and beyond!) who are engaged in making our state the top bike, walk, and roll friendly state in the nation. During the Summit, we host mobile workshops, panels, experiential learning forums, and collaborative spaces for people who want to see biking, walking, and rolling as an accessible, safe way to get around our communities. The content is intended to inspire, educate, and inform elected officials, community advocates, planners and engineers, and more!
Inclusion
Everyone is welcome at Cascade Bicycle Club and Washington Bikes events. We are committed to celebrating and promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion in the bicycling community. We aim to provide safe spaces at all of our events. Read our commitment to anti-racism and our participant code of conduct and grievance policy.
We would like to acknowledge that the Summit takes place on the ancestral lands of the P’Squosa, also known as Wenatchi, people and members of the Colville Confederated Tribe. The P’Squosa have lived on this land since the beginning of time, and continue to do so today. Our offices are located on the traditional land of the first people of Seattle, the Duwamish People past and present. We recognize this land acknowledgment is one small step toward true allyship and we commit to uplifting the voices, experiences, and histories of Indigenous people.
Sponsorships
We are actively seeking sponsors for the 2026 Summit! If you would like to learn more about sponsoring the Summit please contact Brittany Merritt, Corporate Partnerships Officer, at brittanym@cascade.org.
Registration
Early registration opens in October, and we will have scholarships and discounts available to ensure that cost is not a barrier to attendance and in service of ensuring attendance from people from many backgrounds and geographic locations.
The Washington Bike, Walk, and Roll Summit brings together advocates for bicycling and safe streets with professionals in planning, design, engineering, health, education, business, and tourism to connect and learn.
