Rolling Through Canyon Valleys on Cycle Oregon’s JoyRide

- Joyride was Cycle Oregon’s first Women and Non-Binary three-day weekend camping adventure. The ride used to be a one-day wine ride.
- The ride featured road and gravel options, with short, medium, and long routes on Saturday and Sunday through stunning canyons, waterfalls, and vistas.
- The community, camaraderie, joy, and fun was palpable throughout the entire weekend, which featured dance parties, live music, catered meals, trail runs with BIPOC We Run Long, and an All Bodies on Bikes live podcast with Marley Blonsky.
Top Five Wins for Safer Bicycling in the Seattle Transportation Levy
- The mayor and City Council included $133.5 million for bike infrastructure in the Seattle Transportation Levy thanks to Cascade’s advocacy and public support for more safe bike routes.
- South Seattle will see major improvements in its bike network if voters approve the Levy.
- We urge all Seattleites to vote YES in November so that we can continue progress toward making Seattle’s transportation system safer for everyone.
Cycle the Gap
Cycle the Gap (CTG) is a five-week series of rides to help folks get in shape for Cascade's Ride from Seattle to Vancouver and Party (RSVP) and other late summer events. CTG runs for five Saturdays, the first being Saturday after the Seattle to Portland Ride and the final ride the week before RSVP. CTG is designed to help maintain endurance and strength. The rides will incrementally increase in distance and elevation gain starting at around 40 miles and concluding with an 80-mile ride.
Lopez Island Bike Glamping and Farm Stay
- Lopez Island is the most bikeable of the San Juan Islands due to its low-traffic roads, ocean views, colorful farms, and friendly locals.

Leisurely Urbane Matthews-beach Pedalers (LUMPS)
Heading out of Matthews Beach Park in North Seattle, this weekly ride is affectionately known as "The Pie Ride". The route is an easy trek along the Burke-Gilman trail to the Bothell Senior Center, where riders enjoy homemade pie and fun conversation prior to return.
Eastside Hills
Eastside Hills rides are challenging, hilly rides intended to help strong riders maintain and improve their fitness. The rides are generally 50 - 60 miles with 3000 - 4000' of climbing, and they follow a variety of routes east of Lake Washington starting from the Kirkland Transit Center. Eastside Hills rides are offered year-round, usually at a Brisk pace but occasionally Vigorous or faster.

Growing the STP Community with Bike Works, Ampersand, Asha, Ride for the Philippines and Gruppetto
- Cascade is partnering with bike clubs and nonprofits whose missions align with ours to increase inclusion and belonging on the 2024 Kaiser Permanente Seattle to Portland presented by Alaska Airlines.
- Partners include Ampersand Bikes Club, Asha for Education, Foundation for Philippine Progress, Bike Works, and Gruppetto Cycling.

- Bike Everywhere Day (May 17) was a huge success. Smiling people pedaled to our Celebration Stations in Seattle, Redmond, West Seattle and across Washington state in celebration of Bike Everywhere Month presented by Microsoft.
- Now we must turn pedal power into political power. Join me at Seattle City Hall on June 4 and tell the City Council that bike infrastructure is fundamental to our transportation future.

The Seattle Transportation Levy: Join us at council hearings to advocate for safe biking
- Together, our advocacy added bike investments totalling $114 million in the Mayor's Proposed Levy. We need to secure the $114 million and push for more.
- The City Council now has 6 weeks to finalize the proposal before voting it onto the November Seattle ballot for voters to get their say. Sign up to join us at upcoming public hearing dates on the Seattle Transportation Levy to make sure Council knows biking investments matter and should not be cut.

Touring Tacoma on the Water Flume Line Trail
- The 2.5-mile Water Flume Line Trail stretches from 40th St to 80th in South Tacoma, passing many hidden gems along the way.
