Registration Process

Can I register my friends for an event?

No. You can not purchase registration for your friends. The only exception is that adults can register one immediate adult (a spouse or partner) family member. Individual accounts do have permission to register minors, but you will not be able to register other adults.

Do I need to register my children, and how do I?

Yes, all children (even in seats and trailers) over one year old need to be registered for liability reasons. You can make accounts for minors, under your account by going to "My Account" -> "Profile" -> "Manage Household" and then create a new household member. Be sure to enter their ages accurately, so they can qualify for youth pricing. Children under the age of one are not recommended for our rides for safety reasons.

I have registered. How do I purchase event add-ons such as return transportation, parking, merchandise, etc.?

Sign into your account, then go to the Account Dashboard. There's a section that says upcoming events, and the event you have registered for will be listed there. To the right of that, a view registration link, and to the right of that, a link that says "Buy Add-Ons." You'll click that link and be taken to the page to buy optional event add-ons

Is group registration allowed?

No. Group registration is not permitted. Your friends or colleagues will need to register for events individually or by household if applicable.

Where can I find my membership number and expiration date?

You can find them on your membership card. You may also sign in to your online account to find your membership details under the membership tab.

Do I need my membership number to register for major rides?

No. You do not need to provide your membership number when registering for major rides. When you successfully sign into your Cascade Bicycle Club account your account information including membership status will automatically reflect.

I have purchased a membership, but my member price is not showing.

First, verify you have signed into your account. If you see My Dashboard listed in the top right corner this indicates you are properly signed in.

To note, non-member pricing is going to show for both members and non-members as you complete the intial part of the registration. Importantly, after you have agreed to and checked the consent/waiver agreements and also reviewed the optional items for purchase click the add to cart box located in the bottom left corner. Your member pricing will show once the registration is in the cart.

What is a household and how many people can join?

Households include two adults and any minor dependents living at the same address.

How can I add family members to my account?

This action requires membership. Sign into your account, and navigate to the "profile" tab, and look for the "manage household" sub-tab. Here you can add family members. If you don't see this tab, send an email to info@cascade.org, as it's possible your account will need a new permission to act as a family primary account.

I have a membership, can I register my family and friends?

You can register your family only. An individual membership only allows you to purchase registration and receive the paid member discount for yourself. Individual member accounts cannot purchase ride registrations for more than one adult at the member price. The only exception to registering more than one adult is to purchase a family membership.

E-Bikes on Cascade Rides

Can I ride my e-bike on Cascade rides and events?

If your class of e-bike is permitted to ride on the roads that our route takes us through, then it is permitted on our ride or event. Check out the Washington Bikes page on state e-bike laws for more information.

What kind of logistical support can I expect for e-bikes on Cascade rides?

Currently, Cascade does not provide charging stations solely for e-bikes. For long rides like STP or RSVP, make sure your overnight host has outlets available for recharging. We recommend you carry innertubes specific to your bike, as some e-bikes have larger tires than most road bikes. Some, but not all of our SAG vehicles have a means of transporting heavier e-bikes. We recommend you know how far your battery can get you on one charge. You may decide to carry a second battery with you on a longer ride.

Miscellaneous

Can I change the pace group I selected or do I have to start in that pace?

Please start with the pace where you feel most comfortable. You are not locked into that pace and can change at any time.
