All Aboard the Bike Bus on Bike to School Day
- Bike buses are caravans of parents, teachers, and kids who ride rather than drive to school.
- Cascade is partnering with Seattle Public Schools to encourage more PTAs and educators to create bike buses this spring.
- May 7 is Bike to School Day–the perfect time to hop on a bike bus.

Visett’s Dream to Bike: A Major Taylor Project Spotlight
- Thanks to the Major Taylor Project and his own determination, a Tacoma high school graduate named Visett has achieved his dream of learning to ride a bike.
- Help more youth like Visett fulfill their dreams of transportation independence by registering for the Ride for Major Taylor on April 13.

Orondo Students Earn New Bikes as Bike Education Expands Statewide
- 19 Orondo fifth graders are the first students to earn their own bicycles from Washington’s statewide bike education expansion being implemented by Cascade.
- We attended a joyous community celebration at Orondo Elementary where students, families, and educators celebrated the launch of Washington’s Earn-a-Bike initiative.
- Earn-a-Bike and Let’s Go Across the State are funded by the Climate Commitment Act.

MTP Tacoma Students Help Rebuild Swan Creek Mountain Bike Trails
- Swan Creek Park in Tacoma has numerous beginner-friendly mountain bike trails
- Major Taylor Project students spent a day volunteering with Evergreen Mountain Bike Alliance on trail maintenance and riding the smooth and flowy trails
