Cascade has added two new group rides–a gravel overnighter and a women and nonbinary ride–to our 2025 Season Schedule.
The Revel Revolution Ride, June 29, offers a 15- or 27-mile route designed to create an inclusive and welcoming space for women and nonbinary riders to have a ton of revelrous fun while exploring the Lake Sammamish area and views of the Cascades with friends.

The Iron Horse Gravel Ride, Aug. 11-12, will take riders up and over Snoqualmie Pass on the Palouse to Cascades State Park Trail to Cle Elum before returning to the start/finish line in Snoqualmie on the second day.

Both rides were created with the intent of expanding opportunities for people new to cycling and individuals with years of experience to ride together in a fully supported environment that enables more folks to enjoy the natural beauty of our region.
Registration is open for Iron Horse Gravel and Revel Revolution.
Expanding Inclusivity and Opportunities to Bike
“These two new rides highlight our belief that bikes are for everyone, and that we all grow stronger when we ride and explore together,” says Cascade Events Director Liz Lunderman.
Revel Revolution, “is an incredibly special event that centers inclusion, grit, connection and community to uplift women and nonbinary riders,” Lunderman says. “Our mission is to increase inclusion for people who have traditionally been left out of bicycling or felt excluded. We are excited to make this inaugural Revel Revolution the first of what will become an annual Cascade ride.”
The Iron Horse ride showcases one of the nation’s greatest bike trails and gravel routes–the Palouse to Cascades State Park Trail that crosses Washington state and is part of the Great American Rail Trail.
“Iron Horse Gravel is our second multi-day gravel ride in addition to the Winthrop Gravel Tour. It's a response to the growing popularity of gravel riding, which allows people to escape the roar of traffic for a more peaceful and meditative biking experience,” Lunderman says.
Revel Revolution Women's + Details
Starting at Bellevue College, Revel Revolution offers two routes: a 15-mile ride along the western shore of Lake Sammamish, and a 27-mile route down to Issaquah on the East Lake Sammamish Trail. Both routes offer views of the Cascade mountains, lush greenery, and the opportunity to see wildlife along the shorelines of Lake Sammamish.

“You'll find encouragement, camaraderie, and plenty of fun on two wheels along the way,” Lunderman says.

This event is for women and non-binary participants only. If you want to support as an ally, please sign up to volunteer. We welcome all allies to come and support the ride and its participants. This ride supports Cascade's Women and Non-Binary Free Group Rides and classes.
Why is Cascade hosting a WNB ride? Cascade’s mission is to increase inclusion among folks who have traditionally been left out of bicycling events. In 2024, only 27 percent of our ride participants identified as women or non-binary people. That is why we offer education classes and rides specifically targeted to women and non-binary people to welcome them to bicycling.

Iron Horse Gravel Details
Iron Horse Gravel offers a two-day journey on the Palouse to Cascades State Park Trail (formerly called the Iron Horse Trail) from Snoqualmie to Cle Elum on Day One, including camping or hotel stays, and back on Day Two. See the Ride with GPS route here.

Participants will ride approximately 62 miles each day, traveling through the two-mile Snoqualmie Tunnel at the summit of Snoqualmie Pass both coming and going. Bonus: every participant will get a light for pedaling through the dark and unlit tunnel.
Cascade will transport your overnight bags or camping gear to Cle Elum and then back to the start/finish area for you to pick up. This is the perfect ride for newcomers to gravel biking who want to try off-road riding in a safe and supportive environment.
