STP 5-Packs and ‘80s Tyvek Jackets, New for 2025!

Get excited for STP 2025 with new details to make the 46th annual event better than ever! 

One of Cascade Bicycle Club’s goals for the Seattle to Portland Bicycle Classic presented by Alaska Airlines is to make it more inclusive every year, welcoming riders of all backgrounds, incomes, and abilities. 

This year, we’re making it even more price-inclusive by offering the lowest-priced STP in a decade through our STP 5-Pack. 

Starting Jan. 7, members and the general public can log in to their cascade.org account and purchase five STP registrations that provide a 10% discount off the member price. Buy a 5-pack during early bird pricing (Jan. 7 to Feb. 4) and each STP registration costs only $144. 

Riders can share these registrations with friends, family, or their team. You’ll be helping us grow the community of participants for STP 2025–and bringing your friends along to experience the legend that is STP. 

“It’s a win-win as an affordable way for friends and colleagues to ride together, and for Cascade to make it possible for more people to join this iconic ride,” said Cascade Executive Director Lee Lambert. 

In addition to bringing back prices from a decade ago, we are also entering the fashion time machine and traveling back to the ‘80s to bring back our retro “Tyvek” windbreaker jackets.

These totally tubular fashion statements will be available for STP riders to purchase. With a hot pink pixelated logo reminiscent of 1980s fashion trends, these jackets are, like, gnarly to the max! 

“STP is all about joy, fun, community, and participating in a Pacific Northwest bucket-list challenge,” said Sarah Mantey, STP producer. “We still see Tyvek jackets from decades ago on our rides, and we wanted new and returning riders to have a fabulous memento to wear for years to come.”.

Some Frequently Asked Questions about the STP 5-Pack:

• How is the price determined?

The 5-Pack price matches the member price for the registration period. That means from Jan. 7 to Feb. 4, each registration costs $144, or 10% off the member price of $160. For the standard registration period from Feb. 4 to March 31, each registration costs $171, or 10% off of $190. This price match continues throughout the year until STP registration closes July 6.

• What’s the deadline for using my STP 5-Pack registration? 

STP 5-Pack registrations must be used in 2025 and they can't be saved for future STPs. Log in and use your registration anytime between registration opening and closing. However, we encourage you to log in and complete your registration as soon as possible so that we can plan logistics for STP, such as determining how many meals and porta potties we need.

• Are 5-Packs refundable?

No. Because of the steep discount and distribution process, we can’t refund a 5-Pack purchase. Refunds on individual registrations are available for members only. 

• How many 5-Packs does Cascade plan to sell?

We will sell a maximum of 300 early bird 5-Packs at the $144 rate from Jan. 7 to Feb. 4. Starting on Feb. 5, you may buy as many standard-registration-priced 5-Packs as you want.

• Can the general public/non-members purchase 5-Packs?

Yes. Anyone can purchase a 5-pack. However, only members can register during the member registration period of Jan. 7 to Feb. 4. Starting on Feb. 5, anyone who has been gifted a 5-Pack registration can sign in and register.

• Can youth riders be gifted a 5-Pack registration?

Yes, but it will be at the STP 5-Pack price rather than our youth price.

• Can I add a Team Name when I purchase a 5-Pack for my group?

Not in 2025, but if the 5-Pack is successful we will consider adding that feature for 2026.
