It’s safe to say that biking is an integral part of Kirkland resident Faith DeBolt’s life. Like a growing number of others who have journeyed to the Puget Sound region in recent years, Faith moved here without a car, requiring her to find a new and more efficient way to get around.

This year, more than 700 volunteers dedicated their time, effort, and genuine friendship to Cascade -- and what better way to thank them then an epic volunteer appreciation party. On October 4, our Magnuson Park office hosted celebratory evening with food, drinks, prizes, awards, and a final look back at the year.

With your help, a connection from the East Lake Sammamish Trail to the Redmond Central Connector on the Eastrail is building a modern transportation system that works for everyone, regardless of how they get around. The new connection fills a key gap in the trails network from Issaquah to Kirkland and beyond, and offers five-star access to light rail in downtown Redmond.

After decades of advocacy, the East Lake Sammamish Trail has cleared the final hurdle. We’re in it for the long haul to see this trail completed. Together, we’ve been there every step of the way.
Finally! The permit is in-hand for King County to construct the last 3.6 miles of the East Lake Sammamish Trail!

Thanks to brewer Dreux Dillingham’s connection to disability advocacy, Métier is donating $10 of every Trail Blazer keg to the Major Taylor Project adaptive program in Tacoma so people riding with disabilities have the opportunity to experience bike riding with the same joy as any other person.
