Cloudy or Rainy! Let’s Grab A Pastry! (Steady)

Join us for a ride from Fred Meyer in Sumner (SE corner of the parking lot) on an 48-mile route at Steady pace (12-14mph).

That's right, you heard it! If we have rain or if it's cloudy we are riding.

If you are looking to ride on flat trails, forest like roads and a 6-9 percent descend sign up! We will begin our ride at Sumner where we will ride towards Auburn. From there we will have a gentle climb towards Black Diamond. We will have a 30-minute coffee stop at the Black Diamond Bakery, before heading back through Green Valley Road. This is a mentored ride (a step toward certification as a Cascade Free Group Ride Leader) for Michael Boettcher!

Let's meet at the start and please be ready to ride at 9 am. We will start with a required safety briefing, and roll out when that's done. All riders must attend the safety briefing to participate.

We will climb and descend hills at our own pace, and our goal will be to stay together. We'll also limit our speed on any multi-use paths to the legal maximum (usually 15 MPH).

Restrooms are available at the start and or at the end of the ride. Our coffee stop will also have a restroom. Other optional restrooms will be at mile 9 and 34.

Bring a spare tube and tools to fix a flat, just in case. Please have full fenders if the roads are wet, or you may be asked to ride at the rear of the group.

Note: If weather conditions meet the weather cancellation criterion listed above or if there are unforeseen hazardous riding conditions or other unexpected events, the Ride Leader will cancel the ride and all registered riders will be sent a notification email. If the ride is canceled at least two hours prior to the start, the Ride Leader(s) will not be at the start location.
