Work is scheduled to begin today to construct a new crosswalk, curb ramps and a pedestrian island on Seaview Avenue N between the Burke-Gilman Trail and the south entrance to Shilshole Bay Marina, according to a press release from Seattle Department of Transportation (SDOT).
Construction is expected to last up to two weeks.

When I arrived at Cascade, I was immediately surprised by the many people who knew my name, knew about my resume (“so, you worked at the pest control association, huh?”) and were excited to welcome me to this new job. On my first day, I met at least 100 people—all of whom knew about me.

Seattle’s bike share system, Pronto Cycle Share, will soon blow out the candles on its half-birthday cake (they grow up so fast!).
In celebration, Pronto is hosting a series of rider-appreciation events and promotions next week, April 13-19, which it is deeming ‘Pronto Week. ‘
