Welcome to CTS 2026!
We ask all Red Riders to be ready to ride no later than 9:30am at Cascade's headquarters in Magnuson Park.
Plan to arrive by 9:00am at the latest so you have time to unload your bike (if you are driving), grab your BreckID and helmet ribbon from the check in station, and use the restroom. Please note that Cascade Bicycle Club might be hard to find if you have never been before and you are not familiar with Magnuson Park's layout so allow some time for that.
If you drive, please park in one of Magnuson Park's bigger parking lots such as N2 (located East of Arena Sports) or W6 (East of the Tennis Center). From there, you can bike to Cascade Bicycle Club to decrease the amount of cars outside of Sand Point businesses. Because of the number of CTS riders, please do not park in front of Cascade or its neighboring businesses. See the map below:

Checking in:
We will have your BreckIDs and helmet ribbons available for you inside. The Bike Corral will be set up outside the offices with plenty of space.
Ride Leaders assigned to your group will talk about safe group riding skills and there will be time for questions and demonstrations of these skills prior to the ride start. The first ride in the series is a 22 mile loop from Magnuson across the 520 bridge through Medina and back. You will be riding on both trails and roads and will be able to enjoy the beautiful views of Lake Washington as well as meet other riders who have signed up for CTS! There will be a rest stop with water and facilities about halfway at Medina Beach Park.
What you need to know about day one:
Be dressed in your bike clothes, make sure you have water bottles ready and bring some additional snacks to keep you going during the ride, and through the fix-a-flat training (if you stay for that). Bring a rain jacket just in case and any other wet weather gear that you deem necessary.
Make sure that your bike is in good working order before the first day of the series. If you lack bike mechanic skills, take your bike to a local bike shop to get a tune up. They are busy this time of year, so contact them well in advance of this first ride.
Cancellation policy: If weather conditions meet the weather cancellation criterion listed in the Weather Status or if there are unforeseen hazardous riding conditions or other unexpected events, the Ride Director will cancel the ride and all registered riders will be sent a notification email. If the ride is cancelled at least two hours before the start, Ride Leader(s) will not be at the start location. Please check before leaving for the ride.
After the ride:
Upon your return to Cascade Bicycle Club, we have a variety of resources for you to check out:
- “Fix a Flat” demonstrations will be led by Cascade Outriders, offering an opportunity to practice changing a flat tire on your own bike! Please bring your own spare tube - you can find one at your local bike shop.
- PT Solutions, a Seattle-based PT Clinic, will be onsite to answer any questions you may have about bike-specific strength work, physical therapy, or bike fit. Check out their webinar here!
- The Cycle Sanctuary, a Ballard-based cycling training studio will be onsite with Stacy Vinge, the founder and lead coach. Stacy can answer questions on bike-specific nutrition, hydration, and training. See her webinar here!
- Magnuson Cafe & Brewery (next-door to CBC) has offered CTS riders 10% off a single tab order for lunch after the ride. Just show them your CTS BreckID wristband to redeem the discount.
