This week we will be riding from Redmond to Snohomish. We venture into the rural beauty of local farmlands and the grandeur of the Snohomish river valley. The ride will start at the Bear Creek Park and Ride in Redmond. There are no restrooms or water at the start so plan ahead accordingly.
Our planned stops:
- 60 Acres Park - Mile 4. Water and restrooms (if needed, 5 minutes)
- Tambark Creek Park Soccer Fields - Mile 17. Water and restrooms (10 minutes)
- Snohomish Haggen Foods - Mile 35. Water, food and restrooms (25 minutes)
- Maltby Community Park - Mile 43. Water and Restrooms (10 minutes)
- Redmond Perrigo Park - Mile 58. Water and Restrooms (10 minutes)
We will meet at the Bear Creek Park & Ride in Redmond, and be ready to ride at 8:00am. Arrive at least 20 minutes early so that you can get yourself ready. SMART briefing and ride announcements start at 8:00 a.m and we will roll out when those are done. All riders must attend the safety briefing to participate.
Be sure to bring snacks and consider adding electrolytes to your water, especially if it is warm/sunny. It may be time for sunscreen also. And remember, layers are your friend!
Be sure to have the tools needed to fix a flat: tire levers, spare tube and/or patch, pump and a lot a patience!
Note: If weather conditions meet the weather cancellation criterion listed in the Weather Status or if there are unforeseen hazardous riding conditions or other unexpected events, the Ride Leader will cancel the ride and all registered riders will be sent a notification email. If the ride is cancelled at least two hours before the start, Ride Leader(s) will not be at the start location. Please check before leaving for the ride.
