Please note 8:00 a.m. start!
All riders should be ready to ride at 8:00 am at Renton Community Center. You should arrive early with enough time to unload your bike and use the restrooms as needed.
Red Ride #9 of the Cascade Training Series takes us on a fun 55-mile ride from Renton Community Center along the Cedar river to a snack stop at The Black Diamond bakery. We will return to Renton following the Green River Valley. We will start with a required safety briefing and ride announcements, and roll out when that's done. If you miss the briefing you will not be able to ride with the group.
Please review the Comments Section before the morning of the ride for any final updates. Route may be updated there as well as weather updates and cancellations.
There will be restroom stops at the following points during the ride:
- Mile 1.2 - Restrooms and water - Quick stop if restrooms the at the start are locked.
- Mile 20.8 Black Diamond Bakery - Snacks Restrooms and Water - 30 minutes
- Mile 36.3 Issac Evans Park - Restrooms and Water - 10 minutes
- Mile 49.3 Three Friends Fishing Hole Park - restrooms - no water - 10 minutes
Note June 6, 2022: The route and description have been updated due to the Maple Valley Days parade road closure on day of ride.
Revised June 8, 2022 A rain route has been added.
What to Know Before You Go
- Advance registration required. Cancel if unable to attend, to open space for others.
- Must be present at safety briefing to participate.
- Helmets required.
- Riders under 18 years old require parental consent & approval from the Ride Leader.
