Got Legs?
Let's meet at the Japanese Gulch Dog Park Trailhead, in Mukilteo. Be there, ready to go at the time listed above. We will start with a required safety briefing, and roll out when that's done. All riders must attend the safety briefing to participate.
This is possibly my favorite ride! Filled with beautiful scenery, and challenging terrain, it has been a measure of my fitness for many years. This ride is for advanced riders that have completed at least a full century ride successfully and recently. Be prepared for a FULL day on the bike.
We will climb and descend hills at our own pace, and we will regroup frequently. This ride is listed at Brisk. I will adjust that to be more in-line with a HIGH BRISK. I say that as my climbing is more Brisk, but flat and descending is more Vigorous. If you cannot maintain with the group, you will be on your own.
Restrooms (porta-potty) available at the start. There is no water at the start. We will stop along the way for restrooms/water at miles 35, 53, 70, 85, 100, and 120. Longer food, water, bathrooms stops are planned at 35, 85, and 120 miles.
Bring a spare tube and tools to fix a flat, just in case. Other things to bring: phone; ID; cash and/or credit card; ORCA card; water, electrolytes, and a small snack.
Note: If weather conditions meet the weather cancellation criterion listed above or if there are unforeseen hazardous riding conditions or other unexpected events, the Ride Leader will cancel the ride and all registered riders will be sent a notification email. If the ride is cancelled at least two hours before the start, Ride Leader(s) will not be at the start location. Please check before leaving for the ride.
We hope you can join us!
