Greetings Blue & Green riders, this week we will be adding about 6 miles, but the big add will be close to 900 feet of elevation.
We will start at the Kenmore Park and Ride in the lot directly behind the St Vincent de Paul thrift store. Best entrance is off 73rd street.
We head north out to Snohomish through Woodinville for our 1st set o f hills. Then we head south across the flats of the Snohomish valley to the east side of Monroe and north on Fryelands Blvd, past Lake Tye Park continuing north for about 5 miles tackling some hills,. Then we head back south (down some hills) into the north side of Monroe to Safeway for our food stop at mile 35. The Starbucks has been notified that we are coming and promise to have extra staff to get us in and out as quickly as possible for those that want coffee drinks.
After our food stop we hit the hills again heading north to Sultan. Just before Sultan we get a great down hill and the a long stretch of flats and rolling hills as we head back west through the South side of Monroe. From there we head into the hills again up High Bridge, past Crescent Lake &lost Lake. Once we hit Maltby we are on the home stretch, with some rollers descent and more rollers for the final 8 mile stretch back to the finish.
