FRUMPS: Ride for Kringle
Ride Contact
Event has already happened.
IMPORTANT- BRING A BIKE LOCK AND A MASK AND VACCINATION CARD IF YOU WANT TO EAT INSIDE. WEATHER WILL DETERMINE EXACT RIDE MILEAGE
When the weather outside is frightful, Molbak's is still delightful. Come out for the sixth annual ride for Kringle. We will enjoy a social ride to Woodinville for lunch and see the beautiful holiday poinsettias and decor at Molbak's Nursery - and of course eat Kringle, a traditional Danish treat they have at Molbak's each year. We can either have lunch at Molbak's or across the street at Starbucks. Proof of vaccination is required if you want to eat inside. The Kringle is not free this year due to Covid but the Ride Leader plans to buy a box and share it. If we are lucky to get good weather we will get some miles and hills on the way via English/Hollywood Hills. Foul weather conditions during the ride could alter the route, shorten it or have us ride directly to Molbak's on the Sammamish River trail.
Start: Let's meet in the parking lot of the East Sammamish River Trailhead at 10:00 am for the pre-ride safety briefing and route review. We will depart after the briefing. IMPORTANT: If you are not present and ready at 10:00 am when we start the safety briefing, you will not be allowed to participate.
What to bring: Supplies and tools to fix a flat, cell phone in case you cannot finish, full water bottle, pocket snacks, a bike lock, a mask, a way to pay for lunch.
Restrooms: At the start, mile 18.1 (if needed), Molbak's - mile 22.7.
Cue sheet: Print a map and cue sheet from the Ride With GPS Route link below.
Regroup: We will regroup at the top of hills. Mechanicals will not stop the group. Have an alternate plan if you cannot finish the ride.
Cancellation Policy: In the event of a weather cancellation (steady rain, frosty pavement, ice or snow) it will be posted by 8:00 am (2 hours prior to the start) in the comments section below and the Ride Leader will not be at the start.
