FRUMPS - Woodinville - Redmond Ridge Loop
Ride Contact
Event has already happened.
Join us for a steady, social, and somewhat hilly ride from Woodinville to Redmond Ridge and back. The route starts/ends at Wilmot Gateway Park under the pergolas - parking is best done across the street by the Woodinville Athletic Fields - there is construction going on and parking is less available than in the past so plan to arrive a bit earlier than normal to assure you can locate an appropriate parking location. There are rest rooms and water at the start.. This is a mid-week ride which will take us into several quiet neighborhoods with lots of twists and turns. We will start and warm up on the Sammamish River Trail (where we will continue to be ambassadors for Better Biking Behavior of course) followed by climbing up Education Hill and cycling through English Hill, Tuscany, Lake of the Woods, and Trilogy at Redmond Ridge. Our first scheduled rest stop is also our lunch stop (30 minutes) at the QFC/Starbucks on Redmond Ridge (mile 20) - it's not a bad idea to bring a bike lock if you have one. We have an optional rest stop available if needed at the portapotty at the Kathryn Taylor Equestrian Park (mile 14.5).
This is a hilly ride, but we climb the hills at our own pace and always regroup at the top.
Riders should be able to sustain the pace, carry nutrition/water, and have the know-how and equipment to fix a flat tire. Everyone should carry a phone to call for assistance if needed. We will regroup after climbs and at major intersections. New riders are welcome - please see the Cascade Bicycle Club web page for new riders as noted below.
Please arrive in time to be ready for the Safety & Route Briefing at 9:45 am with our plan to start the ride at 10:00 a.m.
