Join us for a 23 mile ride around Lake Sammamish at a Leisurely pace of 10-12 mph!
This is a casual and friendly mid-afternoon ride around the lake with an optional mid-point stop at Whole Foods for a snack or beverage.
Let's meet in the parking lot of Gerk's Issaquah Cycle at 1:45 pm for our pre-ride safety briefing, with a departure at 2:00 pm. (Please park toward the back of the lot and away from the front doors to leave space for Gerk's customers who may be loading and unloading their gear.)
The route includes several manageable inclines as we make our way around Lake Sammamish. We will climb and descend these inclines at our own pace, and our goal will be to regroup frequently along the way (generally at the tops of the inclines and as needed). We'll also limit our speed on any multi-use paths to the legal maximum (they are usually 15 MPH). To be clear, this is NOT a no-drop ride, but we will aim to keep the group together.
Restrooms inside Gerk's Issaquah Cycle are available at the start. We will also stop along the way for restrooms/water at approximately mile 13 at Marymoor Park.
You are encouraged to pre-register by clicking the red "Register Now" button above. There is no need to unregister if you decide not to ride.
Bring a spare tube and tools you need to fix a flat, just in case. Please have full fenders if the roads are wet, or you may be asked to ride at the rear of the group.
Note: If weather conditions meet the weather cancellation criterion listed above or if there are unforeseen hazardous riding conditions, the Ride Leader will post a ride-canceled note in the Comments section below at least two hours prior to the start and Ride Leader(s) will not be at the start location.
We hope you can join us!
