Please join us for a LESS Hills ride! This is a less hilly alternative to Wednesday night's "Midweek Outdoor Riding in Evening" series, with a target of 20 to 25 miles. It is a perfect way to add a little training for otherwise weekend riders without spending too much time. And it’s a great way to enjoy the long daylight of Pacific Northwest spring and summer.
The start location will be Lower Woodland Park. We will ride on urban Seattle/Shoreline streets as well as some trails. We will keep the published pace on flats, but you can go uphill at your own pace. We will keep the group together on these rides. Please pack water, snack, and tools/tubes to fix a flat as always. Even though the majority of ride will be in daylight, please have your lights (both front and back) just in case.
This week we head up north via the Interurban Trail to Shoreline, descend via Perkins Way to the BGT, and then return to the start at Lower Woodland Park via Wedgwood and Ravenna.
We will roll at 6 pm so please arrive ready to ride at 5:45PM to listen to the safety briefing and any other instructions. Registering online will make the process easier and we can better prepare with appropriate number of Ride Leaders. In addition to showers, any other hazardous conditions will cancel a ride. If a ride is canceled due to hazardous conditions, the notice will be posted here in the comments section below, and on the Meetup announcement page by 4:00 p.m. on the day of the ride. If that notice is posted, the ride leaders will not be at the start.
