  • Carry a face covering in case a business or public transit requires their use.

Let's bike out of Kent to Soos Creek Trail. This route is half flat, half hilly. We will ride the flat bike trail into Renton where we will pick up the Cedar River trail.  The speed limit is 10 mph so we will take it easy along the river, saving our energy for the big climb. On top of the hill we will take a well deserved break at Subway or Starbucks - your choice.Then we will do a few more hills, enjoying the sights along the Soos Creek Trail, with a quick stop at Lake Meridian for the restrooms and view and now the payoff: A descent back to Green River Trail and back to the start!!!

Please arrive 20 minutes early so you have time to ready your bike, sign the ride waiver, and listen to the Cascade SMART Safety talk.If the ride is canceled due to weather, it will be posted here in Comments and on the Meetup announcement 2 hours prior to start time, and the ride leader will not be at the start.

Come prepared to fix flats and have a plan for dealing with mechanical issues. Waiting for mechanical issues is at the discretion of the ride leader.

Please make sure you bring water and snacks. Every effort will be made to stay together but if you are worried about keeping pace please print the cue sheet. There are some steep ascents and descents, and only riders who are comfortable with these conditions should do this ride.

Please register for the ride by clicking on the red "Register Now" button at the top of this page, click the waiver release box, complete the Emergency Contact Number, and click on Save. By doing this you will save time at the ride start. If you are unable to attend you do not need to "un-register."

We will meet near the restroom by the picnic table.
