Ride from the Montlake Community Center to Seward Park via Lake Washington Blvd. Return via Mount Baker, the Central District and Interlaken Park. Some climbing especially the second half of the ride. Route follows arterials and neighborhood streets, some with bike lanes and some without. We will regroup at the tops of hills and at major intersections. Restrooms and water at start and at Seward Park. Coffee/snack stop in Mt Baker. Arrive early and be ready to ride by 8:45 for check-in and safety briefing.

We will keep to the posted pace (12-14 mph) on flats; slower for climbing. All riders should be prepared to deal with flats and other minor mechanical problems, either by repairing them or by getting themselves back to the start or home (bus, ride-hailing, phone-a-friend).

Electronic registration is encouraged. Click on the red Register Now button at the top of this page.  Non-registered riders will need to sign the Cascade waiver before beginning the ride.

Decision on weather cancellation will be made by 7:30 am on the day of the ride and posted in the Comments section, and I will not go to the start. Fenders are strongly encouraged if the roads are wet.

Looks like little or no rain but plenty of wind. The ride is on but I might shorten it a bit depending on conditions.

All the riders will be helpful with this post. The precautions and the route maps of different ride events are mentioned and described here. I think these kinds of posts are very necessary in this modern world    gate installation
