KEEPING RIDERS SAFE

- Attendance at the pre-ride safety briefing is required to participate in the ride.
- If you have tested positive for COVID or have been exposed to someone with COVID, follow the quarantine and isolation guidelines. In general, if you have COVID or are displaying COVID symptoms, or if you are sick with the flu or a cold, you should not participate in group rides.
- Carry a face covering in case a business or public transit requires their use.
- Please, no spitting or “snot-rockets” while participating.
- A CPSC certified helmet is required to be worn to participate.

Please join us for a moderate paced loop ride through Kirkland, Bellevue, Medina, Beaux Art Village, and Mercer Island. The route distance is 39.8 miles, with 2466 ft. of climbing. Most of the hills are gradual, with one or two steep but short climbs. We will keep the group together, and regroup at the top of hills, or nearby, as safety permits. We will do one short section on the unpaved Kirkland Cross Corridor. The surface is hard packed and easily managed on a road tires.
We will stop on Mercer Island at Starbucks for a snack break before heading back on I-90.
Please download the route to your device or print your own cue sheet. The ride leader will not provide cue sheets or maps.
Please come prepared with tubes and tools to fix flats and perform minor repairs. In the event of a flat or minor malfunction, the group will stay together until the fix is done, assisting as needed. In the unlikely event of a major breakdown, will we stay with you until we know help is on the way.
Weather Cancellation: Showers or heavy rain will cancel. If the weather looks dire, please check the comments page for this ride on the CBC web site for a cancellation note by 8:00AM of the ride day. The ride leader will not be at the start in the event of cancellation.
Bathrooms, Parking and Registration: There are restrooms and water at the start at Juanita Beach Park. The parking lot may fill up early on a sunny weekend, so be prepared to find nearby street parking. We will meet in the back of the concession building. Please be aware that the parking time limit is 4 hours in the parking lot.
Please pre-register. It’s not required, but much appreciated. Click on the red Register Now button above. This will save us time at the start. Plan to arrive 20 minutes prior to the start time to hear the route briefing and safety notes.
