KEEPING RIDERS SAFE
- Advance registration required for all participants. If you decide not to ride, please click Cancel My Registration below to open space for others. (How to cancel)
- Attendance at the pre-ride safety briefing is required to participate in the ride.
- If you have tested positive for COVID or have been exposed to someone with COVID, follow the quarantine and isolation guidelines. In general, if you have COVID or are displaying COVID symptoms, or if you are sick with the flu or a cold, you should not participate in group rides.
- Carry a face covering in case a business or public transit requires their use.
- Please, no spitting or “snot-rockets” while participating.
- A CPSC certified helmet is required to be worn to participate.

This hilly & beautiful Vashon Island tour features back roads, little traffic and water views. NOTE: BEST FOR EXPERIENCED RIDERS.
Bring money for the ferry trip and park in the UPPER/NORTH parking lot at Lincoln Park (the lower lot has a time limit) where we will meet at 9:00 before boarding the 9:30 Vashon Ferry. If you miss us at the parking lot, join us at the ferry dock.
There are few services on this rural island, so bring adequate snacks, as we will burn calories. Our food break is in Burton where you have espresso stand and general store options, (and porta potty) but little more; you might want to bring a sandwich.
Moderate pace, best for experienced riders; 14-16 MPH on flat with no wind; faster downhill and slower up, with occasional regrouping.
I will not be at the start if weather conditions are not suitable for riding, and I will post a notice in the Comments Section at least 2 hours prior.

How Exciting
This is like a "mini Passport2Pain"! I hope the weather holds up as it is currently forecast - Vashon is an absolutely beautiful place to ride.
Maury loop
The map shows the route going around the north side of Maury and up the center, then reversing to return by the same route. Is this your plan, or is it just a one-directional loop?
Expected return time?
Do you have an idea of when we'd be back? I might have to skip Maury.
