Autumn in the PNW is a beautiful time of the year to be outside! When it's not raining of course! Hopefully this Wednesday will be one of those dry, gorgeous, sunny, warm fall days! And what better way to enjoy a stunning autumn day then on a bike ride that passes along the lovely shores of Lake Washington.
We will leave the parking lot of Renton's Old City Hall and head north to Madison Park where we will stop for our mid-ride rest stop at Starbucks. After our break of coffee and pastries we will head back the same way we came.
Please arrive at least 15-20 minutes before the ride start at 10 AM so you can get your bike and yourself ready and hear the S.M.A.R.T. talk (safety briefing).
There are bathrooms just a block north of the ride start at Liberty Skate Park. We will also make a quick bathroom stop at Seward Park at mile seven.
New riders are welcome, but please review the link below. Riders should be able to maintain the pace and know how to change a flat tire (and carry the equipment to do so).
Come prepared to fix your own flats and have a plan for dealing with mechanical issues. Generally the group will not wait for flats/mechanical issues so make sure you know the route or have a printed CUE sheet.
Please register for the ride by clicking on the red Register Now button at the top of this page, click the waiver release box, complete the Emergency Contact Number, and click on Save. By doing this you will save time at the ride start. If you are unable to attend you do not need to "un-register."
