Join us for a ride to a classic cycling destination. We'll venture into the more rural parts of the eastside as we ride from Woodinville to Snohomish via the Snoqualmie Valley and Monroe, maintaining a moderate pace of 14-16 mph on the flats without the benefit or hinderance of wind. Slower on ascents, faster on descents. This ride has several hearty hills, but climbing and descending will be at everyone's individual pace with regroups at the top of hills as well as descents as necessary. We'll grab a bite to eat at the Snohomish Bakery before heading back to Woodinville with just about 14 miles to go.
If roads are wet or weather reports suggest a possibility of rain, full fenders are highly recommended for the comfort and safety of your fellow riders as well as yourself. No fenders means you are happy to ride in the back.
Riders should bring tools and knowledge to repair flats and minor mechanical issues. Please have a backup plan in case of a major mechanical (someone to call for rescue or an ORCA card). It happens!
Though a food stop is planned riders should carry ample hydration and snacks. This is important in case we experience any delays along the route.
Please plan to arrive at least 15 minutes before the start in order to prepare yourself and your bike prior to safety briefing. Ride rolls out at 9:00.
Public restrooms and water are available at the start and miles 19, 28, and 36.
