Starting at at Jack Block marine park (at first set of restrooms and car parking), we will ride along eastern ridges of West Seattle through White Center and into Burien to stop at another saltwater beach. Then up a gravel road through woods to a scenic, winding return route along the shore-side back through Alki.
14-15 mph pace on flat. Whatever you can manage on hills. There will be some hills! We will re-group at the top. Roads are generally low stress. This is a tour, not a training ride. Ride leader can be easily persuaded to stop at a bakery (mile 16.5) or other interesting spot.
Check your tires, brakes and chain in advance, and come prepared with tools and tube to change a flat.
Online registration is encouraged but not required. Please arrive by 9:15 to check in and get ready. Restrooms and water at start and at Seahurst Park and Lincoln Park. If heavy rain is forecast, check here for cancellation notice by 8 am. We go if only showers or light rain.
