Join us for a 24.4 mile, 1725' elevation gain as we bike through the Seattle neighborhoods of Capitol Hill, Beacon Hill, Seward Park, Mt. Baker, Leschi, Madrona, and Montlake. Along the way, we will visit Interlaken Park, Volunteer Park, Dr. Jose Rizal Park, Lake Washington Blvd., Colman Park, Frink Park and Interlaken Park. There will be one cobblestone climb, some short sections of paved and unpaved trail, and several optional short steep climbs for the climbing enthusiasts. Those not wanting to do the optional steep hills will get short rest breaks. We will re-group on the tops of all major hills. We will maintain a speed limit of 15 mph while on the Burke-Gilman trail and on the Cief Sealth trail. Afterwards, we'll head to the Nickerson Street Saloon for food, drinks and socializing for those interested.
Please make sure to arrive at least 15-20 minutes before the start time to get your bike set up, sign the waiver, and to listen to the safety talk.
The ride leaders will not be at the ride start should conditions be as noted in “Showers Cancels” above. I will announce the cancellation in the comments section below at least 2 hours prior to the ride start and will monitor my phone and/or email listed in the contact information. If you have questions about the weather, please call (or email) before you leave for the ride.
