Join the MUMPS (Monday Unemployed Merry Pedalers) for a ride from Woodinville up Hollywood, English, Novelty and Union hills with a lunch stop at Victors Celtic Coffee in Redmond. There are actually only 3 significant climbs, because Hollywood gets us to English without much descending and re-climbing. And if you look at the route, you will see flat sections too. Climb and descend at your own pace - we'll regroup at the top and bottom if we're separated.
Restrooms at the start are available at Woodinville City Hall and across the street at Wilmot Gateway Park, at the coffee/lunch stop, and on the trail toward the end of the ride.
Riders should be at the start 15 minutes early to ready their bikes and hear the safety/route talk, for a prompt 10am rollout.
The route/cue sheet is at the link below. Please download or print it if you want it during the ride.
Fenders are highly recommended and appreciated if the roads are wet. You can still ride with us without them, but if you are spraying those behind you we'll ask you to ride at the back.
Please be prepared to take care of flats or minor mechanicals, and have a way to get yourself home or back to start in case you are unable to complete the ride. We'll stop briefly to help if you need it. It would be a good idea to copy my phone number so you can let me know if you have a problem while behind the group.
Please register in advance on this website to save time at the start. (You need a CBC account, but you don't have to be a member to get one. Or you can register manually at the start.) You don't have to un-register if you can't make the ride.
In case of cancellation the ride leader will not be at the start and a cancellation notice will be posted in COMMENTS below at least two hours prior to start. Please check for potential cancellation prior to heading to the ride.
