Join us for a 30.8 mile, 2030' elevation gain as we bike through the Seattle neighborhoods of Capitol Hill, International District, Beacon Hill, Seward Park, Mt. Baker, Leschi and Madrona.  Along the way, we will visit the Bruce Lee grave site, Volunteer Park, the Daejeon Pagoda, the Co Lam Pagoda, Kubota Gardens, the Japanese Pagoda Lantern in Mt. Baker Park, Mt. Baker Ridge Viewpoint, a scenic overlook in Leschi, and Interlaken Park.  We will also bike on the Chief Sealth Trail, Lake Washington Blvd., the Burke-Gilman Trail, and do one short section on a dirt trail.  There will also be one or two optional additional steep hills for the climbing enthusiasts including E. Roy-the steepest paved street in Seattle.  Those not wanting to do the optional steep hills will get short rest breaks.  The pace for this ride will be at the high end of moderate (15-16 on the flats) and the ride does include a few short, steep climbs along the way that everyone will need to do.  We will re-group on the tops of all major hills.  Afterwards, we'll head to the Nickerson Street Saloon for food, drinks and socializing for those interested.

Please make sure to arrive at least 15-20 minutes before the start time to get your bike set up, sign the waiver, and to listen to the safety talk.

The ride leaders will not be at the ride start should conditions be as noted in “Showers Cancels” above.  I will announce the cancellation in the comments section below at least 2 hours prior to the ride start and will monitor my phone and/or email listed in the contact information. If you have questions about the weather, please call (or email) before you leave for the ride.
