Tour de Brunch Rides Again !  I am planning to do a ride in the Tacoma / Gig Harbor area the last Sunday every month  - followed by brunch. Credit for this series to Doug Pfeffer, who got me hooked on his Tour de Brunch series last year.

Ride #1 - May- Markee Gig Harbor: All the brunch locations are going to be great - Sunday Jazz Brunch at  Markee in Gig Harbor is an excellent start. In order to have time for a brief safety talk and introductions before the ride, please arrive at the parking lot in front of Markee around 15 minutes early, at 8:45am. We'll head towards and over the Fox Island bridge for a loop on this lovely low density residential Island. This is hilly terrain! We'll regroup after all hills. Link to the route on Ride With GPS below - route can be downloaded and cue sheet can be printed.

Pace is moderate - defined at 14-16 miles per hour on flat terain with no wind. Rides are going to be more social than training and we'll adjust to slightly slower riders and are perfectly happy to have faster riders who can pace down a bit join us. Please send me a message or post a comment if you are unsure if this is a good ride for you. New riders are especially welcome! If you are new to Cascade Free Group rides, please click on  "read our newcoming information" at the top.

Helmets are required for all participants on Cascade Free Group rides. Some other good things to have: a charged cell phone, ID, water and snacks, supplies to fix a flat (spare tube, pump, tire levers) fenders on your bike if roads are wet, front and back lights. Be sure to have a credit card and/or cash, especially if you are staying for brunch.

Register for the ride by clicking the red "register now" button. You do not need to be a member of Cascade to register on-line, you merely need to create a free account. Doing this beforehand will save us time at the start and then I will also have your information clearly written on my paperwork.

Cancellation Policy: Steady rain cancels. If the ride is cancelled, the cancellation will be posted in the comments section below before 7am  and ride leader will not be at the start.
