This is a very pretty and somewhat hilly route from Redmond to Redmond Ridge via Education Hill, English Hill, Hollywood Hill and Ring Hill on mostly quiet residential and rural roads. Despite the description, most of the hills are shallow to moderate grade with only a couple of steeper hills. We will regroup at the top of hills as needed. The route includes a few short unpaved cut-throughs that are easly walkable with your bike. There will be a coffee/lunch stop on Redmond Ridge at Starbucks but it is not until mile 29 so please bring pocket food to help you make it to lunch. There is also a QFC nearby. Start location has sanican but no water so bring 2 full water bottles and money for lunch/coffee if desired.
IMPORTANT: Please note the start location is the newer and much larger parking area at the far east end of the 60 acres area, NOT the small lot by the Sammamish River trail. Just drive a little further east past that small lot and the lot entrance will be on your right just before the road heads up a steep hill on 116th St.
Please arrive by 9:40 to allow time to prepare your bike and use the restroom so we can have the safety/ride briefing and depart on time at 10am.
If I need to cancel the ride due to inclement weather I will post a cancellation notice in the comments section of this ride posting no later than 8am on ride day and then will not be at the start. Please check the comments section before driving to the start. Rain during the ride could amend the route.
If you have a Cascade account please register on line using the Register button at the top of the posting. If your plans change you do not need to unregister. You may also sign in at the ride start.
Please print a cue sheet and/or download the route from the link provided.
