KEEPING RIDERS SAFE

- Attendance at the pre-ride safety briefing is required to participate in the ride.
- If you have tested positive for COVID or have been exposed to someone with COVID, follow the quarantine and isolation guidelines. In general, if you have COVID or are displaying COVID symptoms, or if you are sick with the flu or a cold, you should not participate in group rides.
- Carry a face covering in case a business or public transit requires their use.
- Please, no spitting or “snot-rockets” while participating.
- A CPSC certified helmet is required to be worn to participate.

Come join me for a quick loop around West Seattle before the rain hits. We'll start with some mellow hills with a flat 7-mile finish. Restrooms at the start and options at 7.5 miles and 15 miles into the ride. We'll keep moving (no planned stops) to stay warm, with regroups at hill tops and at turns. Be ready to roll and signed in by 8:15 am to hear the mandatory safety briefing.

ROUTE: See link below for a RideWithGPS downloadable route map (with printable cue sheet) are at the link below. If you want a cue sheet, please print one using the route link.
MECHANIICALS: Group will not stop for mechanicals. Bring tools and knowledge to repair flats, and a plan for rescue should you have a serious mechanical failure.
PACE: Pace is 15-16 mph on the flats and at your own pace up hills.
REQUIRED: As is required with all Cascade rides, please ensure you wear a helmet and come prepared with water bottles and gear that is comfortable and appropriate for the distance/elevation. If roads are wet, please have a rear fender and a long mud flap in back (should go almost to the ground) to protect your fellow cyclists.
RIDE CANCELLATION: In the event of a weather cancellation, a notice will be posted in the comments on this page at least two hours before the ride start and ride leaders will not be at the ride start location.
START LOCATION & PARKING: Bathrooms at start. Jack Block Park entrance is off of Harbor Avenue before you reach Salty's Restaurant. Look for big iron archway on water side of street. Please park along Harbor Street to leave parking lot for park patrons then bike into the park.
