Training for Spring is a 10-week series intended to keep our legs moving and warm throughout the winter and preparing us for spring training rides. Optional social gatherings are available before and after the rides to meet and connect with Ride Leaders and fellow riders. Our mid-ride rest stops will be brief in an effort to retain body heat. Please arrive 20 minutes before the published start time to ready your bike, check in, and participate in the SMART safety discussion. Please register on the Cascade website to expedite your check-in process.
The 4th of our 10 week Training for Spring series starts at Mercer Island Park & Ride. We’ll head west across the I-90 trail, north along the Lake Washington Loop, then cross SR-520 to Medina. We’ll make a brief rest stop at the Bellevue Downtown Park and continue around Mercer Island before stopping at the park & ride. An optional post-ride meal will be at the Islander.
If you want a cue sheet, please go to the RideWithGPS link below and print one out for yourself. There won't be any available from the ride leaders.
Note: There are no restrooms at the start; please plan accordingly.
Rest Stops: Seward Park MP 18.0

Mentored Ride
I'm pleased to announce that I'm mentoring a new Ride Leader Candidate on this ride! Please welcome and encourage Colleen K. on her first mentored ride :-) I'll have her lead the first half of our route. Dayle will lead after the break and Colleen be our sweep.
Pre-ride social gathering?
Is there a pre-ride location this week? Maybe the Tully's across I-90 from the P&R? Then come back to the P&R to start the ride?
I plan on visiting Tully's at
I plan on visiting Tully's at 9:00, just south of the Mercer Island Park & Ride. It's kinda small, so I'm not starting the ride from there.
