EARTHDREAM Rides the Snoqualmie River Valley
If you are new, please read our newcomer information.
EAstside Ride The Hill DREAM rides are focused on helping strong riders get stronger by training on challenging hills. You can ride the hills at your own pace; we will regroup at the top. EARTHDREAM rides emphasize teamwork and cooperative riding in a way that is fun and encourages each rider to develop their cycling skills. Our pace tends to keep a consistent pace especially on hills where the climbs are fast and strong. Riders who struggle to maintain a vigorous pace may find it challenging to stay with the group. We will attempt to accommodate people with a range of abilities, but riders who are significantly off the group pace should come prepared to finish the ride on their own if necessary.
This week's route starts in Woodinville but quickly heads out to the rural roads of the Snoqualmie River Valley. We will ride most of the length of the valley, which is pretty flat. We return to the start via Redmond and Kirkland. The route includes a few miles on the Samammish River Trail, which will be taken at the posted speed limit (15mph).
The starting location is at the Woodinville Sports Fields parking lot. Heated restrooms and running water are available at the start.
We will plan one food/water stop at the Starbucks in Carnation.
If you click the "Register Now" button on this page it saves you from having to sign in at the start of the ride. Also, it gives me an idea of how many people to expect.
Steady rain cancels this ride. If the ride is cancelled due to weather, a notice will be posted in the comments 2 hours prior and the ride leader will not be at the start. Fenders and/or rain bikes are strongly recommended for this ride. I'll leave an update about fenders the morning of the ride.
