Note there is a four hour parking restriction at the Log Boom Park start. If you are concerned it might be enforced you can park on NE 175th St heading into the park.
This moderate paced ride will happen most Mondays, in conjunction with the MUMPS Brisk ride (which starts earlier from Enatai; see separate MUMPS ride posting).
This week I plan to do a north lake loop, which is shorter but hillier than the full lake loop we frequently do in winter. Start at Log Boom Park or meet us at the Leschi Starbucks at about 11:15. Contact the ride leader by text if you plan to meet us at Leschi (in case we change the route). From Leschi we'll cross I-90, head north through Beaux Arts to Bellevue, then to Medina, 520 trail, Kirkland, and back to Log Boom via Juanita Drive. There's an option to skip the 400-ft Juanita Drive climb and get back to the BGT and Log Boom via 98th/100th/Waynita Way (all one street; no turns).
Weather: Forecast for rain, snow, ice/frost or other unsafe riding conditions will be cause for cancellation, in which case the moderate pace ride leader will not be at the start at Log Boom Park and the cancellation will be posted (in Comments, below) at least 2 hours before the start.
Full fenders and mud flaps are highly recommended and appreciated if rain is expected or the roads are wet.
I plan an optional stop for lunch/refreshments at the Carillon Point (south Kirkland) Starbucks. There are restrooms at the start and at coffee/lunch stops.
The RWGPS route or cue sheet at the link below provides the APPROXIMATE route. I'll be making the turns I know by heart and some may be slightly different than the cue sheet. Mostly we stay together, and regroup as necessary.
Please come with the equipment and know-how to take care of your own flats and mechanicals (or with a plan for getting back to the start if your bike won't take you there).
Please be at the start ready to ride at least 10 minutes early for safety talk.
Please save time at the start by pre-registering here up to two hours before the start. Make sure you are logged into your CBC account (you don't have to be a member to have an account), click on REGISTER NOW, check the waiver box, and you're good to go. You don't have to un-register if you don't make it to the ride.

Frosty conditions
are you going to go ahead with the ride today?
Frosty
Yes, riding, carefully!
I think I will miss this one.
I think I will miss this one. Too white out in my neighborhood!
Frosty
I don't blame you. 6 of us stayed upright with extra caution in a few frosty places.
