  • Attendance at the pre-ride safety briefing is required to participate in the ride.
  • If you have tested positive for COVID or have been exposed to someone with COVID, follow the quarantine and isolation guidelines. In general, if you have COVID or are displaying COVID symptoms, or if you are sick with the flu or a cold, you should not participate in group rides.
  • Carry a face covering in case a business or public transit requires their use.
  • Please, no spitting or “snot-rockets” while participating.
  • A CPSC certified helmet is required to be worn to participate.

It's that time of year to spread quirky Christmas cheer! This ride will be the chance to show off your ugly Christmas sweaters (that you personally really dig) and add so many lights to your bike that it should be parked at the Griswold 's. Or perhaps you want to wear your Grinch or Santa costume or jingle bells that you've been secretly modeling and waiting 12 months to show-off? Come one, come all, this ride is about hilarious fun!! If you just want to join the fun without costume, no worries, you can ride along and laugh at us all! We will conclude the ride with come Christmas cheer and treats at Big E Ales located near the ride start/finish. (You may want to park there before the ride and pedal the short distance to the start.)

We meet at the Lynnwood Transit Center, in the SE corner by the Interurban Trail. If it's your first time at Lynnwood TC, there is a second area SE of the bus area. Please check the map above for exact location.

Riders should also know how to read a cue sheet and/or have the route on a GPS device, have items needed to change a flat, and fenders if chance of rain. Please print a cue sheet as they will not be available at the ride start. We will not be stopping to wait for mechanical failures so having a cue sheet is strongly recommended.

Notes:

  • Riders must be ready 15 minutes prior to start to participate in the required S.M.A.R.T. talk.
  • There is a water fountain at ride start, and a single restroom open during the week, but it is often occupied. If you do need it, be sure to arrive with extra time to wait for it to be vacant.
  • Rear lights are recommended.
  • Mirrors are recommended. Would you drive your car without mirrors?
  • Fenders requested if raining.

Registration:

  • PLEASE RSVP ahead of time if you plan to ride with us. RSVP not required, but would be appreciated. If you have a Cascade account you can sign the e-waiver on the CBC website to speed things up at the ride start. To do this, sign into your account and click "register", then check the e-waiver.

Weather notice:

 In case of inclement weather, I will post a cancellation notice in Comments, listed below, 2 hours prior to the ride and will not be at the ride start. Ice or snow also cancel. Check here for any updates.
