Let's go earn some treats from the Sultan Bakery. This is an eclectic route beginning with a Sammamish River Trail warm up before climbing over Hollywood Hill, out Woodinville-Duvall, and down into the Snoqualmie Valley. We'll have another good climb up Old Owen Road before dropping into Sultan to refuel. Our return brings us back through the valley and up to Broadway through Maltby and into Woodinville. This is a good route for to work on your hill climbing and get some rest in between spinning on the flats.
We'll maintain a moderate pace (14-16 mph) on the flats, slower on the uphills, faster on the downhills, regrouping at the top of hills.
Riders should bring tools and knowledge to repair flats. For the comfort of the group and yourself, please have fenders if it is wet out or there is a chance of rain in the forecast. If you do not have fenders you will need to ride in the back.
Please plan to arrive 15-20 minutes early in order to prepare yourself and your bike prior to safety briefing. As it will be a chilly morning, the ride starts a bit later at 9:30 so I'd like us to roll out on time.
We'll meet across from Wilmot Gateway Park at the Woodinville Sports Fields parking at the south end of the fields. Public restrooms are available at the start.
