This ride will start from the Auburn Regal Cinema 17 parking lot.  The first five and half miles of the ride are nice and flat, followed by a four and a half mile climb up SE Auburn Black Diamond Road.  This climb is mostly gradual with the steepest part at the beginning of the climb and again about half way from the top.  We will regroup at the top of the hill before continuing on towards the town of Black Diamond and our coffee stop at the famous Black Diamond Bakery.  After our coffee break we will head out onto highway 169 (fast traffic but decent shoulder) for one mile before turning right onto SE Green Valley Road.  We will have about a mile of rollers before we begin the 1 1/2 mile descent to the valley floor.  This descent is winding, steep and in the shadow of trees but we will be careful as we enjoy a great downhill.  Once we reach the bottom of the hill we will pass by Flaming Geyser Park and then enjoy a great 8 mile stretch of some beautiful country side as we head back to Auburn.

Please meet at the Auburn Regal Cinema north end parking lot between Walmart and the Regal Theater in the Outlet Mall. Bathrooms are available at Walmart.

For mentoring opportunity, please contact the Ride Leader at least two days in advance so that you have time to familiarize yourself with the route and discuss any route issues or other questions you may have.

Arrive 20 minutes early so you have time to ready your bike, sign the ride waiver, and listen to the Cascade SMART Safety talk.

If ride is cancelled due to weather it will be posted here in comments by 7:00am and ride leader will not be at the start.

Come prepared to fix flats and have a plan for dealing with mechanical issues.  Generally, the group will not wait for flats/mechanical issues so make sure you know the route or have printed a CUE sheet.

Please register for the ride by clicking on the red Register Now button at the top of this page, click the waiver release box, complete the Emergency Contact Number, and click on Save.  By doing this you will save time at the ride start. If you are unable to attend you do not need to "un-register."
