John Weller is off wearing funny glasses and watching the eclipse so we will do his regular ride without him and add a little elevation towards the end on a pretty road with fresh pavement and a couple rollers.

A gentle and mostly flat social ramble in the rural Snoqualmie River Valley, with an option for refreshment at Starbucks in Carnation on the way back.

Porta-pot but no water at the start.  Next restroom is near Carnation Farms and about 12 miles from start.  A RideWithGPS route map and cue sheet are at the Link, below.  If you need a cue sheet, please print one.

Directions to the start: From Seattle take I-90 to Exit 22 for Preston. Turn left at the top of the ramp, then right at the next intersection. Continue to Fall City. Bear right at the T in Fall City to cross the Snoqualmie River. Go around the traffic circle onto northbound State Route 203 toward Duvall and Monroe. Make an immediate left onto Neal Road, across from the Fall City Bistro, and into the gravel lot at Fall City Community Park.

It can be a long way to Fall City, so plan your trip.  Please be ready to ride by 9:45 AM so we can do the safety briefing and get on the road.  Bring what you need to handle flats, and have a phone and a plan for rescue if your bike fails.  If roads are wet, roostertails from bare tires are a safety issue for other riders.  Fenders with long mudflaps show that you care.

Please RSVP by clicking on the red "Register Now" button under the ride title above, then checking the box for "Waiver Signature" and filling in the contact information.  This will save us time at the start.  Note that the on-line RSVP requires a Cascade Bicycle Club account, which is easy to set up, but if you don't want one of those just come anyway and sign the hard-copy attendance/hold harmless sheet.

The listed phone will not be answered after 8:00am on the morning of the ride.  If weather conditions meet the "Showers cancel" criterion, I will post a ride-cancelled note in Comments, below, at least 2 hours prior and not go to the start.  If the weather looks iffy, please check here before leaving for the ride
