Join us for a 24.4 mile, 1840' elevation gain ride as we cycle to Queen Anne, Magnolia, Ballard, Loyal Heights, Phinney Ridge and Green Lake.  Along the way, we will visit David Rodgers Park, Kerry Park, Discovery Park and the Discovery Park Lighthouse, the Ballard Locks, Sunset Park and Woodland Park.  If there is time, we may also make a quick visit in to see Kiwanis Ravine Park, sight of the largest heron rookery in Seattle.  We will also have a stair climb up the Comstock Stairs-one  of Seattle's oldest and most scenic staircases, built in 1909.  There will be a couple of very steep optional climbs offered for the climbing enthusiasts. Those not participating in the optional climbs will get a few minutes of rest.  This is a very hilly ride, so you should be a good hill climber if you plan to attend this ride.  Afterwards, we'll head to the Nickerson Street Saloon for food, drinks and socializing for those interested.

Please arrive at least 15-20 minutes before the start time to get your bike set up, sign the waiver, and to listen to the safety talk.

I will not be at the ride start should conditions be as noted in “Showers Cancels” above. I will announce the cancellation in the comments section below at least 2 hours prior to the ride start and will monitor my phone and/or email listed in the contact information. If you have questions about the weather, please call (or email) before you leave for the ride.  In addition, the ride will be cancelled if the air quality is in the unhealthy range due to the recent wildfires.  Please check the cascade site or the cascade meetup page prior to showing up for the ride to check the status of the ride.
