Attendance at the pre-ride safety briefing is required to participate in the ride.
If you have tested positive for COVID or have been exposed to someone with COVID, follow the quarantine and isolation guidelines. In general, if you have COVID or are displaying COVID symptoms, or if you are sick with the flu or a cold, you should not participate in group rides.
Carry a face covering in case a business or public transit requires their use.
Please, no spitting or “snot-rockets” while participating.
A CPSC certified helmet is required to be worn to participate.

Please join us for a ride from Sumner, up to Auburn and then east to the Black Diamond Bakery for some pastry and coffee.

We'll start in Sumner, head north to Auburn, go through town and climb (a gentle climb) Auburn Black Diamond Rd to the Bakery. Then we'll head back on Auburn Black Diamond Road and down 218th with a lovely flat ride back to Auburn on Green Valley. With any luck, we'll see some eagles on Green Valley Rd, but if not, the scenery is still lovely.

The start location is the East side of the Fred Meyer parking lot. We will keep the published pace on flats (14-16 mph), but you can go uphills at your own pace. We will regroup at top of every hill (one before the bakery). It’s nice to bring your own cue sheet. Please pack water, snack, $$ for the bakery, and tools/tubes to fix a flat as always.

9:00 am is a roll out time. Please aim to arrive by 8:40 so you have time to get ready, sign the waiver, and listen to the safety briefing. Registering here will make the process easier and faster.

In addition to showers, any other hazardous conditions will cancel a ride. If a ride is cancelled due to hazardous conditions, the notice will be posted here in the comments section below, and on the Meetup announcement page two hours prior to the start time on the day of the ride. If that notice is posted, the ride leaders will not be at the start.
