Ravenna Gorge, Wedgewood and Golden Gardens

Join us for a 23.8 mile, 1767' elevation gain ride as we tour the neighborhoods of Wallingford, Greenlake, Ravenna, Hawthorne Hills, Maple Leaf, Ballard and Phinney Ridge.  Along the way, we will pass through many parks including: Ravenna Park, Maple Leaf Reservoir Park, Licton Springs Park and Golden Gardens. There will be a few hard climbs on the ride, most notably 70th St.  For the climbing enthusiasts, there will be an optional extra hill at University Circle.  The rest of the group will get a couple of minutes rest while those wanting to do the extra hill climb will bike down the hill and come back up to University Circle on a road with about an 18% grade.  We will re-group at the tops of all major hills.  Afterwards, we'll head to the Nickerson Street Saloon for food, drinks and socializing for those interested.  

Please arrive at least 15-20 minutes before the start time to get your bike set up, sign the waiver, and to listen to the safety talk.

I will not be at the ride start should conditions be as noted in “Showers Cancels” above. I will announce the cancellation in the comments section below at least 2 hours prior to the ride start and will monitor my phone and/or email listed in the contact information.
