We have been invited to "Bike the Bainbridge Island Studio Tour" - so let's tackle some hills, take in breathtaking views, visit a couple of studios on the tour and stop for snacks at Blackbird Bakery in Winslow! We'll meet at the Bainbridge Ferry Landing - the 9:35 ferry from Seattle will get you there around 10:15, just in time for introductions, signing the waiver, ride S.M.A.R.T. safety briefing and other ride information.
We'll stop for pictures and a quick break at Fort Ward Park (mile 10) and also at Point White Dock (mile 14). We'll detour to Dancing Spirit Studio to view the work of 10 artists (mile 18) and then to Sylvia Carlton's Studio, just another mile or so down the road, to check out another group of artists' work. More about the Studio Tour and featured artists at the link below. From the second studio, it's a short spin back to Winslow and an optional stop at Blackbird Bakery. There are ferries back to Seattle at both 2:05 and 2:55 and I have also included a link to the ferry schedule below.

Please register for the ride by using the "Register Now" button at the top of the page. You can sign the waiver at the ride start, but it will save us time if you register on-line at least two hours before the ride start time. If you are not coming by ferry, please be ready to ride at the start location by 10:15 for the pre-ride talk.

New riders are always welcome. We will be regrouping at tops and bottoms of hills and riders will take them at their own paces, but this is not a great route if you are uncomfortable with hills. Bainbridge Island is beautiful, it is also very hilly. If you are new to Cascade free group rides, please read our newcomer information (link above). Please note: helmets are required on all Cascade rides. Other strongly recommended items to bring with you: WATER, snacks, a spare tube, tire levers and anything else needed to change a flat tire and a charged cell phone.

The ride with GPS link below has the route map that you can download and cue sheets that can be printed. Please print a cue sheet if you would like one.

Cancellation Policy: If needed, a weather cancellation will be posted in the Comments sections below two hours prior to the ride start time and the ride leader will not be at the start location. If the weather is questionable, please check here before leaving for the ride.

Hello, I have decided not to join you on this ride.  I can't figure out how to "unregister for it.

Thanks, Randy

Thanks Randy for letting me know not to expect you. You don't have to unregister for Cascade rides - we keep you on the waiver and if you are not there at the start we assume you are not coming and don't check you off. People often register for rides they hope they can go to..... Sorry you can't make it. Hopefully another time. - Marlene
