Are you participating in a training series or riding long and hard on the weekends and looking for a mid-week ride to keep your legs fresh during the weekday? Then come out and join me on a moderate paced mid-week ride on trails and bike friendly streets this Wednesday afternoon. The weather is getting nicer and our daylight is getting longer. This is the time of year to get outside and enjoy the sun and warm spring weather. And a good opportunity to develope riding skills, become more familiar with your bike and feel confident riding in a group.
This Wednesday we will start from the north end of the theater parking lot of the Outlet Collection Mall in Auburn and head north on the Interurban Trail for 5 miles before turning onto Frager Road, a very low traffic back road that follows the curves of the winding Green River. Near Van Doren’s Landing Park we will cross the river and jump onto the Green River Trail and follow it up and around Tukwila where we will jump back onto the Interurban Trail. We'll continue on the Interurban for 3 miles and then take 196th back to the Green River Trail and head back south to where we began.
Please arrive at least 20 minutes early to get your bike ready for the ride and hear the SMART talk. Also, please ensure that your bike is in good working order before joining the ride and come prepared with the tools and knowledge to fix flats and minor mechanical issues.
We will pass by Three Friends Fishing Hole twice, at mile 12 and again at mile 20. If you need water or a bathroom break I will ask and we can stop.
This is a social ride and is free and open to everyone.
“Moderate pace" is 14-16 mph on flat surface without any headwind. We will go slower on hills and with a headwind and faster going downhill and of course faster with a tailwind.
Please sign an e-waiver by clicking on the “Register Now” button at the top of this page (right below the ride title) and enter your information. If you cannot make the ride, you do not need to unregister.
Showers or more severe weather will cancel the ride. Ride cancellation will be announced in the comments section at least two hours before start time and the ride leader will not be at the start.
If you have questions, please contact the Ride Leader.

RIDE CANCELLED
I am cancelling this afternoon's ride because of rain. The future-cast looks too wet for me.
