Fremont Troll, sure, but Ravenna Troll Booth?

Join us for a 41 mile, vigorous (19mph) paced, hilly ride through North Seattle. Starting at the lower Woodland Park parking lot (adjacent to the soccer fields) we'll make a quick drop down into Fremont to photobomb the troll under Aurora Ave. Then we loop through Magnolia and Discovery Park to the Ballard Locks. From there our route takes us to Golden Gardens, Carkeek Park, Innis Arden, across Shoreline, down Perkins Way to the Burke Gilman Trail. Be prepared for a steep, switchbacked climb up from Lake Washington, then through Wedgewood to Ravenna Park and the Ravenna Troll Booth. Possibly a stop for coffee at Ventoux Roasters near the end of the route, having earned our polka dots.

This ride is hilly, so while the overall level of effort will be vigorous, your average speed may vary. We'll also limit speed to 15mph on multi-use paths. Our goal is to stick together as best we can, regrouping after big climbs. Please have fenders if the roads are wet or the skies are threatening.

Meet for sign in and safety brief at 0915. Rolling promptly at 0930.  Restrooms available at the start, and we'll have a restroom stop at mile 19.

Hi Jeff.

I registered for your ride today, but it looks now like I'm not going to make it.  So don't wait for me.

Thanks,

Dan Satchell.
