South End Themed Ride #5 Let's eat ( Moderate)
Ride Contact
Event has already happened.
Join us for a series of fun, educational and picturesque rides. Depending on the route, it might be to a historical site or just a ride to a Teriyaki joint. We plan on taking time for pictures and enjoying the scenery.
These rides will be in the South King and Pierce counties and will vary in miles and elevation. Paces offered, Steady (12 – 14 mph on flats), Moderate (14 – 16 mph on flats). Pace groups will use a common route each week.
Today’s Theme - "Let's Eat", we will be heading out on a 43-mile ride with a stop for lunch at the Sunny Teriyaki in Tukwila. This restaurant is a local favorite with good food and lots of it. Our route will take us north from Auburn to Kent and along the Green River using low traffic Frager road, we will have two climbs to work up an appetite as we make our way to our lunch stop in Tukwila. The climbs are not overly long and on a clear day, the viewpoint on one of the climbs is pretty fantastic. The return is mostly flat as we return with full tummies.
Please sign the waiver by 3:00 pm on the 24th. I will be calling Sunny Teriyaki Thursday evening to give them an estimated head count
Planned Stops (photo ops): 10.9
Planned Restrooms: Approx 14.4, 22 mile marks
A helmet is a requirement, riders should be able to sustain the pace, know how to change a flat tire (and have the requisite equipment to do so).
Please sign the online waiver by clicking "REGISTER NOW", answer a few questions and save. The online waiver will close two hours before the start, after that time you will need to legibly sign the waiver at the start location.
