Ride Description:

EAstside Ride The Hill DREAM rides are focused on developing stronger riders by training on hills or using intervals (or both :).  You can ride the hills at your own pace, we will regroup at the top.

If you look at the elevation profile for this ride, Zoo Hill stands out. But the ride has many other great features. We get to explore parts of the Samammish Plateau, including Pine Lake and Beaver Lake. We get to enjoy the view from the Newcastle Golf Club. There are some nice flat stretches that are good for pacelining. And we get to ride some pleasant roads around Redmond, Issaquah, Bellevue, and Kirkland.

We have a new starting location for this week: Sixty Acres Park in Redmond. We will meet at the smaller parking lot on the south side of the road. Water and restrooms are available.

We will regroup at the top of all hills, and at major turns. An effort will be made to accommodate people with a range of abilities, but riders who are significantly off the group pace should come prepared to finish the ride on their own.

Comments

We are going to go ahead and ride even if it is raining at the start.  If you would like to join us, please bring a bike with FULL FENDERS and dress for the rain.  We will probably slow down the pace a little, and it is possible we may alter the course.
