Come join me for a ride out to Carnation and Sammamish. This 54 mile route is relatively flat, with the exception of some nice rolling hills. The goal is to get some good base miles in and enjoy a coffee along the way.
Food / water / restrooms: Restrooms are available at the start location. There's one planned coffee stop (in Sammamish, after 37 miles).
Mechanicals will not stop the group for more than a few minutes, so please be prepared to fix your own flats and other minor mechanicals.
Regroups will be at the top of major hills.
Ice/snow will cancel the ride. I will cancel the ride before 9.00 PM on Thursday evening if needed. Cancellation will be communicated on Cascade.org and Meetup. In case of steady rain I will likely shorten the route. The updated route will also be posted before 9.00 PM on the day before the ride.
LONG fenders are required on this ride.
Cue sheets will not be provided on the day of the ride. Please make sure you have the route loaded or print a cue sheet from RWGPS.
Please REGISTER using the Register now button at the top of this page.

Thanks for signing up for
Thanks for signing up for this ride! It looks like we'll have 5 riders tomorrow. The weather looks good (small chance for a shower, but also some sun), so we will do the full route. Temperatures will be in the upper 30s, so dress warm.
Restrooms are available just before Carnation (after 22 miles), but there's no water so please bring enough water to make it to the coffee stop in Sammamish (after 38 miles).
New to the Crew
Just moved to the area in November. Looking for a good group to ride with. This looks about my pace and distance. Any other ladies that join this ride? Is the pace pretty true, or does it pick up?
Welcome Meg!
Hi Meg,
Sorry, I didn't see your message earlier. Welcome to Seattle! Cascade organizes many free group rides as you have probably seen. If you're on the eastside, I highly recommend the CHEW Eastside series, starting next weekend.
The CHEW series have multiple pace groups, so you can always drop back to a slower group behind you if needed.
In general: The ride leaders will make sure the groups sticks to the right pace, so don't worry about that. Let me know if you have any other questions, otherwise I hope to see you on one of our rides soon!
