MUMPS: Do The Lake
Ride Contact
Event has already happened.
The MUMPS ride wiill be at a moderate pace today.
The basic route is a counter-clockwise loop of Lake Washington with a food stop en route. Start at Logboom or meet us at the Leschi Starbucks at about 11:15 - contact the ride leader if you have questions about this. Depending on weather and mood of the group, the route may be shortened at the Leschi stop to cross the lake on I-90 trail, loop Mercer Island or go through Seattle to Magnolia or Green Lake.
Distance and route may vary to suit weather conditions and group. Although the pace is moderate, faster riders may enjoy waiting at our frequent regroups - ask the ride leader if you have questions about your ability and experience. Seriously, on the Burke-Gilman trail and Seattle's pot-holed city streets, the fastest riders don't get there much faster then the rest. Check with leader if weather appears questionable, check here at 8am on the day of the ride for cancellation. Fenders and mud flaps appreciated if rain is expected. We usually stop for lunch, depending on route and weather.
